Executive Director,
Mark Mitchell

TerraBella Newton welcomed Mark Mitchell as Executive Director in 2022. A graduate of Bob Jones University with a degree in Business, Mark brings over 30 years of servant leadership in senior living.

His background includes team building, multi-site management, and extensive expertise as an educator, trainer, and preceptor for long-term care (LTC) licensing. With 12 years as a licensed nursing home administrator, Mark has consistently led communities from underperforming to high-achieving by fostering positive cultural change and building strong, trust-based relationships with residents and their families.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending quality time with his mother and daughter. He’s also passionate about fitness, the outdoors, and traveling.

Team member training is crucial in senior living as it ensures team members are well-equipped to provide high-quality care and support to residents. Proper training enhances employees' understanding of residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs, fostering a safe and compassionate environment.
